The U.S. Open Sandcastle Committee welcomes your help! Many volunteers just like you participate in all aspects of this event. The more the merrier! The entire Sandcastle weekend is organized and coordinated by the U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition Committee. This committee is a 100% volunteer organization and is responsible for the following:

• Set-up and Tear Down
  Over 140 vendors along Seacoast Drive and the Pier Plaza area
• Recruiting teams
  Dozens of entertainers, bands, etc.
• Obtaining sponsors
  Organizing and obtaining the means for security, trash collection, Public Works Assistance, Ambulance Service and various licenses and permits

This event would not happen without volunteers. You do not have to be an Imperial Beach resident to volunteer!
