Kidz 'N Kastles

The Optimist Club of Imperial Beach, in conjunction with the U.S. Open Sandcastle Committee, will conduct its 23rd Kids 'N Kastles sandcastle building event. The Optimist Club of Imperial Beach, is a non-profit organization, with a core of volunteers will conduct the event on Saturday, August 7th, 2010.
The weekend festivities will draw thousands of visitors to the event. Children from the age of 12 and under creatively build sculptures on the beach adjacent to the Imperial Beach pier. The children construct sculptures in three categories: Castles, Best Sculpture and Creatures of the Sea. Sculpturing takes place from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Raffle prizes and winners are announced from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on the main stage.
Children have to be present to receive a raffle prize. A couple of months before the event, registration flyers are sent to all the children through the local schools. The business community and the City of Imperial Beach have embraced the event by providing tangible items and monetary donations to purchase prizes. We, the members of the Club, would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the kids!

Sandcastle Dance is 21+ Due to alcohol and beverage control regulations, the Sandcastle Dance on Friday is now 21 and up. Don't forget your ID!

The USOSC reserves the right to deny event access as necessary to promote a safe, family friendly environmnent. The following are not permitted inside the event area:
